Come celebrate the 249th U.S. Marine Corps Birthday with us on November 10, 2024, at 1526 Fort Street, Lincoln Park. We invite all our Marine Corps League members, associate members, and Women’s Auxiliary members to join us from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. for a day filled with fun, excitement, and tradition.
Special Gifts for Early Celebrators!
The first attendees who arrive at 11 a.m. will receive a special gift from our Marine Corps League Downriver Detachment membership. Gifts are available until supplies run out, so be sure to check in and sign our guest book early!
Event Details
- Donation at the Door: $15 (includes food and a gift).
- Drink Tickets: Available for purchase at the door.
- Raffles & Prizes: Enjoy basket raffles, a 50/50 raffle, and our annual rifle/pistol raffle. This year, we’ve increased prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Raffle tickets are $10 each.
Special Guests and Activities
We’re thrilled to announce that Meteorologist Richard Luterman from FOXTV2 News will join us early in the day. Richard, who served as a weather officer in the U.S. Air Force, will be there to meet and greet celebrators.
Our event welcomes all Marines, their families, veterans from all military branches, and friends from the Downriver community, including Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne County. We’ll have a warm welcome for city officials and visitors from all over.

This year, you can pay for your purchases using credit card or cash.
Event Highlights
- 7 p.m.: Ceremony honoring the Tradition and Heritage of the Marine Corps, including the POW/MIA cake cutting ceremony. We will honor the POW/MIA table, and share cake with the Oldest Marine and the Youngest Marine present.
- 9 p.m.: Basket raffle winners will be announced.
- 9:30 p.m.: Rifle/pistol raffle winners will be announced.
